Last Night Dive at Nha Trang Beach
Tonight was so strange!
At first, we saw some yellow light flashing from underwater up to the surface... I supposed there were some other divers overthere, Mike tried to look but saw nothing! Then we descended as normal, but then I experienced many strange things there:
- "The motor noise": I heard the sound "bup bup bup" all the time, but constantly no matter where we go! I couldn't realised where was it from, just thinking "It's the noise of the hack motor of the divers whose light we've seen!" But after surfaced, I asked Mike and get surprised to know that he had not heard that, but he heard "the sound of surf" in stead!
- "The spotty bottom": I was very surprised with the little holes all around at the sandy bottom, which I couldn't remember that I had experienced before (in the former 2 night dives, and when I skin dived before). Mike has no idea about that, either.
- "glowing spirits": When we turned the lights off, I could see the green glows of luminescent bacteria very clearly when we waved our hands. Our breathing bubbles glowed while rising up our heads... All the scenes look so miraculous! Without lights, I can even recognized the shape of Mike clearly on the brighter background; Night undersea is not black any way! More surprised when I couldn't hear the "motor noise" any more in that dark space, just the sound of our bubbles!???
When we were about to ascend, I accidentally realised the lights upon the surface, and thought that was the lights of the hack people/divers we had seen from the beginning. But after ascent, I have learnt that those lights are from the city above! :D

- "Tiếng động cơ": Có thể chỉ đơn giản là tiếng bong bóng của Mike! (Hic, nhớ Mike quá! Lão cỡ 40-50 rồi, gầy y như cháu vậy!)
- "Đáy cát lốm đốm": Ngay sau đó, khi lặn vo ở Dốc Lết thì cháu đã thấy lại nguyên si cảnh tượng đó rồi. Thì ra đó là hiện tượng phổ biến ở đáy biển mà chúng ta chỉ quan sát được ở vùng nước tĩnh (vùng có surge thì sóng cuốn cát lấp đi hết rồi). Trầm tích ở đáy biển tạo nên khí (nhờ vi khuẩn phân huỷ?) và thường xuyên làm vỡ bề mặt đáy cát ra tạo thành những đốm loang lổ. Có chỗ nó tập trung cùng một chỗ tạo thành những ngọn "núi lửa đen" trông rất ngoạn mục, chỉ tiếc là cháu không có máy ảnh để chụp lại: Giữa đáy cát bằng phẳng trồi lên một mô đất cao chừng vài tấc hình chóp cụt có một cái "miệng núi lửa" ở giữa. Từ trong cái miệng đó trào ra cả lớp trầm tích đen sì nhuộm đen cả một vạt núi và lan xuống cả vùng đất bằng xung quanh đó!!!
- "Những bóng nước lung linh" thì là một kiến thức được ghi trong sách giáo khoa của phần lặn đêm đàng hoàng. Tên khoa học nó là luminescent, nhưng Mike thì gọi nó là ... gì gì đó mà cháu quên mất rồi.
